How To Succeed Online
Many people think that they need to invest big sums of money to learn how to succeed online. I’ve read and heard so many true life stories of people who had been left feeling frustrated, disillusioned and broke after having paid large sums of money for books, tapes, videos, courses and personal coaching in an attempt to learn how to make money online. They ended up fretting about life from chasing that elusive dream.
The River of Life
As I was driving this morning, some images came to my mind. I saw the River of Life and each person in their boat going up against the current of the river. Some were ahead while others were all over the place. It made me realize that life is sometimes a bit like paddling up the stream.
Are Your Paddling or Sailing?
When I was young, I learnt to paddle.
Paddling is very tiring exercise but the more I paddled, I developed my muscles and they became stronger. I took awhile to master the basics through much struggle and hard work. The problem is, the moment I stopped paddling, I would begin to drift downstream. As long as I continued to slowly or gently paddle I could still move forward but I didn’t feel so tired. At the same time I was able to enjoy the surrounding view of this River of Life.
I soon learnt that to depend on paddling alone was not the solution so I built a sail for my boat. I can now use less effort or strength to paddle when there was a breeze to carry me along. However, there may be times when the wind dies down I would have to start paddling again.
Now, I am building an engine so that I can cruise through the River of Life with minimum effort and have more time to enjoy the scenery of this river in the years ahead.
So coming back to my online business…
Building a website is just like building an engine. It takes hard work and a lot of time to learn how to build one that will be powerful and can run efficiently in the long run.
