1. Easy Shrimp And Noodle Recipe (快手虾仁拌面)

INGREDIENTS (1 serving)
1 portion of egg noodles
5-6 pieces of peeled shrimp
2 tbsp of soy sauce
1 tsp of oyster sauce
2.5 tbsp of the Ma La Tang sauce
Diced scallion as garnish

INSTRUCTIONS
Use a garlic presser to press 1 clove of garlic into a serving bowl. Follow up with 2 tbsp of soy sauce, 1 tsp of oyster sauce, 2.5 tbsp of Ma La Tang sauce. Stir to mix and set it aside.

Bring a pot of water to a boil. Cook some noodles. I am using homemade fresh egg noodles. You can use other kinds, such as pasta, spagetti, rice noodles, or mung bean noodles. Whatever you like. Just follow the cooking instructions.

Fresh noodles cook really fast. It take a minute or 2. Add some peeled shrimp to the boiling pot. Let them cook for 30 seconds. Take the shrimp and the noodles out.

Mix with the sauce and you are done.

2. Spicy Lotus Root Salad (凉拌藕片)

INGREDIENTS (2-3 servings)
1.5 tbsp of the Ma La Tang sauce
3 tbsp of soy sauce
1.5 tbsp of chinese black vinegar
1/2 tsp of sugar
A drizzle of sesame oil
2 cloves of garlic, diced
Diced Hot chili to taste
3 – 4 tbsp of diced cilantro
1 lb of lotus root

INSTRUCTIONS
In a sauce bowl, add in 3 tbsp of soy sauce, 1.5 tbsp of black vinegar, 1.5 tbsp of malatang sauce, 1/2 tsp of sugr, 1 drizzle of sesame oil. Add in some diced garlic, chilies, and cilantro. Mix well and set it aside.

Peel the lotus root and slice it into 3 mm thick pieces.

Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the lotus root slices. Put on the lid. Let it cook for 2 minutes. The water should come back to a boil. Take the lotus root out.

Put them on a rack. Spread them out. Let their own heat to evaporate the moisture on the surface because you don’t want the liquid to dilute the seasoning.

Once the lotus root of cooled down, you can put it in a big mixing bowl along with the sauce. Mix everything and you are done.
